Patient asking about Medigap plan g coverageAnother commonly used Medigap plan is Plan G. This plan has many benefits including Part A coinsurance and hospital costs up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are used up, Part B coinsurance or co-payment, first three pints of blood, Part A hospice care coinsurance or co-payment and skilled nursing facility care of co-payment.  It however does not include the Part B deductible. There is also additional blood coverage, 365 Additional Days Hospitalization Coverage after Medicare benefits end, and Hospice Care coinsurance or copayment.

Plan G also includes coverage for home-based recovery care.

Plan G currently covers 100 percent of Medicare Part B excess charges.

Plan G does not cover the Medicare Part B Deductible or Preventative Care not covered by Medicare.
